Computer games sometimes get a bad rap for being violent or mind-numbing time-wasters. But what about computer games for learning math, languages, and more? As children grown, so do the computer games. Older children can learn geography through adventure-style games. There are also quest, and simulation games, plus curriculum-based games. Some learning objectives can include learning new words, thinking logically and/or creatively, strategy planning, following maps, or working as a team.

Adults aren't left out when it comes to computer games for learning. Educational games can teach adults about different subjects, such as historical events and foreign languages, or they can teach different skills. How to Upgrade Your Netbook's Memory From 1GB to 2GB of Ram

If you have started looking at upgrading the RAM in your netbook to 2GB then you have probably looked around at some forums and read user reviews and found that you are more confused now than when you started.

You might have seen terms like cl, 667 or 800MHz and non-ECC that made you wonder which type of memory that you needed. Well these numbers are all very important, and only certain ones are compatible with your netbook. The best-selling and highest rated netbook memory is the Crucial 2GB stick so I'll adress that particular brand, but this applies to all brands.

The first thing that you should know is that almost all modern netbooks (well 95% of them including Asus, Acer, etc) use the Atom processor which has a front-side bus speed of 667MHz (for the N280, the N270 is 533MHz). This is where the memory has to travel through in order for the processor to use it. This tells us that even if you get memory that is listed at 800MHz it will not help anything, because in order to use it the computer has to underclock it to 667 (or 533)MHz and some computers don't like to do this.

Another important thing to make sure is that the RAM you're looking at is non-ECC, and also of course 200 pin SO-DIMM. This basically just means that it will fit your netbook or laptop.

The third thing we need to look at is CL, or cs latency. This is basically how fast the RAM itself can operate, or the delay time. The lower the cs latency number the better. There are 2 top-selling types of Crucial RAM which you will probably see if you look it up and one is 800MHz with a cl=6 while the other is 667MHz with a cl=5.

Their prices are only a couple of dollars apart and most people would get the 800MHz thinking it is faster, but actually after the computer underclocks it to 667MHz then the second one is faster because it has a smaller cs latency. That is the one I went with and I have had no problems, and I would say around a 50% improvement in speed and apps.

Now that you know which type of RAM to get here's a tutorial on how to install it.

Step 1: get the right RAM. Igot the Crucial 2GB 667MHz stick for $30 from Amazon.

Step 2: turn off computer and remove battery.

Step 3: remove access door to memory (mine had a small picture of a ram stick on the door).

Step 4: push 2 small metal tabs away from memory stick

This will cause the memory stick to pop up:

Step 5: pull out 1GB memory stick and replace with 2GB stick. Make sure the pins are lined up (it will only go in one way). The Crucial sticker is on the bottom.

Step 6: Push RAM down until metal clips click, replace cover, re-insert battery and boot up computer. If you're running XP then it will auto-recognize the RAM and no other steps are necessary.

Step 7: Once the computer is booted up hit (windows key+Pause) to bring up the system properties box and check to make sure that the new memory is recognized.

If it does then you're done, if not you will need to re-boot while hitting F8 repeatedly to bring up the bios, then select the new RAM from the menu to make the computer recognize it. Enjoy.

Those were the 3 basic aspects I was looking for. Of course having a variety of airplanes to choose from was on the list to, but most airplane games online these days, have this option and you can buy additional download packs later if you need to.

The Purpose of this article is to teach you how to make vista repairs if you are having startup issues or you can't seem to use the vista system restore option. There are two ways to use these options and they depend on if you have a Windows Vista install disk or if Vista was pre-installed on your OS you will have a ghost image on your hard drive.

If you have the windows vista repair disk: (This should be your backup copy of Vista if you made one)
PLEASE NOTE: This Vista install CD can be run from within Vista. Just insert the CD once Vista has loaded up and go to install, go > Install Now > Upgrade.

1. Boot up with the Vista install disc

2. You should see a screen that says "Windows is loading files"

3. After a few minutes you will get a language option. Select your language and hit next.

4. On the install screen select "Repair your computer"

5. Windows will find your copy of Vista on the machine

6. Select your copy of Vista and click next

7. You will now see the following options.

* Startup repair - This automatically fixes problems that are preventing Windows from starting

* System Restore - This will Restore Windows to an earlier point in time

* Windows Complete PC Restore - This will completely restore your entire PC - programs, system settings and files - from a back up that you have previously created (Available in Windows Vista Business, Enterprise and Ultimate editions only)

* Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool - This checks your computer's memory hardware for errors

* Command Prompt

8. Assuming you are using this option because you were unable to boot to Windows Vista select the system Restore option and then select the date you would like to go back to. If your OS is fine you can always use the startup repair option.

Pre-Installed and OEM versions: (please check with your manufacturer fist. They may have replaced these tools with their own.

1. Turn your computer on and start pressing the F8 key. If you see the Windows Vista Logo you have gone too far and need to reboot and try again

2. You will get an advanced options screen. Select the "Repair your computer option" and hit enter.

3. Select your language and hit next.

4. Enter your user name and password and then next.

5. The recovery options should now appear.

6. In most cases just using the system restore to set your computer back will solve your issue. If this is not the case try the Startup repair option.

Voting digg.com gave a new meaning to this word in the Web2.0 world. These days users can vote to show their like or dislike for a specific content on a website. It is an important way for a user to exercise his views on the web.

Tagging Users can now submit a posting and associate tags or keywords with them. Users can define their own tags. Other users who search for a tag and find all relevant postings with that specific tag. Again a user driven way of labelling and searching. This is basically metadata. If the author wants to reclassify the page at a later time, this can easily be done by changing the list of tags.

This process is also referred to as Folksonomy. This concept has been popularised by sites like del.icio.us and technorati.com.

How Skype Works

It allows its users to make crystal clear calls, regardless of their location, send instant messages, switch seamlessly between text and voice communication, make video calls, conference calls, transfer files, call landlines and cell phones for a fraction of the cost of a traditional call. Skype is truly making a revolution in the way we communicate

But how does it actually work? This article focuses on describing the Skype network and the technology behind it.

Skype is a type of peer-to-peer Voice-Over-IP client, based on the Kazaa file sharing program. The developers of Skype claim that it provides better voice quality than similar applications like MSN and Yahoo Messenger. It also encrypts calls end-to-end.

There are two types of machines in the Skype network – ordinary host (Skype Client) and Super Node (SN). An ordinary host is the computer of a regular user who has the application installed and connects to the network in order to communicate with other users. The Super Nodes are the end-point of ordinary hosts in the network. In other words, ordinary hosts connect to the Super Nodes. Any computer with a public IP and proper hardware configuration can be a SN. An ordinary host must connect to a super node and must register itself with the Skype login server for a successful login. The Skype login server is the only central unit in the whole network. It stores the usernames and respective passwords of all Skype users. Nslookups have shown that this server is located in Denmark. All Super Nodes connect to the login server in attempt to verify the username password of the client. It stores your Skype Name, your e-mail address, and an encrypted representation of your password.

If you are a regular Skype user, then your computer is considered an ‘ordinary host’ that connects to a Super Node. The Super Nodes are servers, located in different parts of the world. But your Skype client, must know to which SN it has to connect. Therefore, every Skype client (SC) maintains a local table that contains the IPs and corresponding ports of Super Nodes. This is called a host cache and it stored in the Windows Registry of the given SC. So basically, every time you load up Skype, it reads the date from the host cache, takes the first IP and port from there and tries to connect to this SN. If the connection fails for some reason (the SN is offline; it is no longer part of the network, etc) then it reads the next line from the table. In case it fails to connect to any of the IPs listed, the Skype returns a login error upon start-up. Hence, the host cache must contain at least one valid entry in order for the application to connect to the network and work properly. Valid entry means an IP address and port number of an online Super Node. The path to the table in the Windows Registry is HKEY_CURRENT_USER / SOFTWARE / SKYPE / PHONE / LIB / CONNECTION / HOSTCACHE. You can verify that on your computer by opening the Start menu, then click Run and enter ‘regedit’, without the dashes. Of course, the exact path could be different in the next versions of the application.

As a concept, Super Nodes were introduced in the third-generation P2P networks. They allow improved search performance, reduced file-transfer latency, network scalability, and the ability to resume interrupted downloads and simultaneously download segments of one file from multiple peers. Basically, they help ordinary hosts connect to each other and guide efficiently the encrypted network traffic.

Super Nodes are also responsible for the 'Global Indexing'. This technology enables you to search for other users in the network. The company guarantees that it will find a user if he has registered and has logged in during the last 72 hours.

A very interesting moment about the Skype network is that it 'self-modifiable'. If you have the application installed, your computer may turn into a Super Node, without you even knowing it, because those capabilities don't have a noticeable impact on a computer's performance. SNs basically store the addresses of up to several hundred Skype users, without carrying any voice, text or file-transfer data. In that manner, the more Skype users come online, the more supernodes become available to expand the capacity of the network.

Skype routes the traffic intelligently by choosing the optimum data transfer path. Since it uses either TCP or UDP protocol, it breaks the whole data stream into seperate packets, which can take different paths to the end destination. The final arrangement is done at the receiving end.

As far as safety and privacy are concerned, Skype uses Advanced Encryption Standard, known as Rijndel, used also by the U.S. Government organizations to protect sensitive data. Skype uses 256-bit encryption.

The programmers of Skype have implemented wideband codecs which allows it to maintain a good sound quality at a bandwidth of 32kb/s and allow frequencies between 5-8,000Hz to pass trough.

Your list of contacts, the application stores in the Windows Registry. This is called the Buddy list and once again, it is digitally encrypted. So, the list is local for every machine, or in other words, it’s not downloaded from the central server.

Let’s briefly describe the tasks of the Skype client. First it connects to the network. It then listens on particular ports for incoming calls, refreshes the host cache table, uses wideband codecs, maintains the buddy list, encrypts messages and determines if there is a firewall or not.

The login process:

The login process is the most important one and it consists of several phases. As mentioned, SC must connect to a valid SN in order to authenticate the username and password with the Central Server.

Skype gets the fist IP from the host cache, sends it a UDP packet and waits for response. If there is no response after 5 seconds, it sends a TCP packet to the same IP. It tries to establish a TCP connection to the HC IP address and port 80 (HTTP port). If still unsuccessful, it tried to connect to IP address and port 443 (HTTPS port). If this does not work either, it reads the next address in the HC. If Skype is unable to connect to a SN, it will report a login failure.

The application comes with several build-in addresses of different nodes, called bootstrap super nodes.

If the connection attempt is successful, the client must authenticate the user name and password with the Skype login server, which holds all user names and passwords and makes sure they are unique across the whole network. When the application connects to an SN, it receives an up-to-date list of other active SNs, so it has the most current information.

The Media Transfer process:

The video/voice communication through SKype is established through UDP. The trick here is that quite often, one of the users is behind a firewall or a router, hence it doesn't have a real IP address. But if both Skype clients are on real IPs, then the media traffic flows directly between them over UDP. The size of the voice packet is 67 bytes, which is actually the size of UDP payload. One second conversation results in roughly 140 voice packets being exchanged both ways, or 3-16 kilobytes/s.

If one of the callee or both of them do not have a public IP, then they send voice traffic to another online Skype node over UDP or TCP. The developers of Skype have preferred to use UDP for voice transmission as much as possible.

An interesting fact is that even if both sides are not speaking, voice packets will still be flowing between them. The purpose of these so called 'silent packages' is to keep the connection alive.

After America Online took over Netscape, they created a non-profit Mozilla Foundation in 2003. The first offering from them, the Firefox, itself was able to catch the imagination of the internet buffs. It is estimated, Firefox has 200 million users worldwide prior to the launch of the new version and the numbers are still growing rapidly. Millions of users had downloaded Firefox and started using the browser in lieu of the default browser Internet Explorer clearly indicates its user-friendliness and application.

The new Firefox 3.0 browser is faster than Firefox 2.0. Mock-up

Once a design has been drafted, the next step is to write a mock-up game in Flash. The idea of this stage is to write the code in Flash for the game to be functional, without worrying too much about how the game looks. I often use place holder graphics at this stage, which will later be swapped with graphics produced by an artist, and unless it is integral to the game I leave the audio out entirely.

Graphics and audio

Once the mock-up has been written, and tested, the next stage is to integrate the graphics and audio. If the design phase was completed carefully with consideration to the graphics and audio, the artists (if the developer is not creating the graphics themselves) can be producing the graphical assets while the mock-up is being created. This allows the graphics and audio to be integrated relatively quickly and easily, and the game is now fully tested again.

Final touches

Only after the game is virtually complete do final touches such as introduction and end of level screens, or preloaders get added. This allows testing to be much quicker and easier as the tester doesn't have to repeatedly click through spurious intro screens.

As we have seen, even a simple Flash game is a complicated project to take on. However, with careful planning and by breaking the project down into sensibly sized modules a competent Flash developer can easily tackle small games projects alone, especially if they have the help of an artist for the graphics and audio.

If you've not written a game from scratch before then consider making modifications to an existing game first. That will give you experience working on games, and the confidence to take on larger projects from scratch in the future.

Writing Flash games can be a highly rewarding skill, both intellectually and financially, but tackling a project too large too early is a common mistake. If you're new to writing Flash games start small, and learn how to write a Flash game the right way before moving on to bigger projects!

"Cloud computing" has become a very hot topic. For the uninitiated, "cloud computing" generally refers to providing access to computer software through an Internet browser, with the software and data stored at a remote location at a "data center" or "server farm," instead of on the computer's hard drive or on a server located on the user's premises. This is also referred to "software as a service."

Proponents of this approach claim many benefits, including lower costs, less need for on-site support and "scalability." "Scalability" means that the number of licenses and available resources can easily be adjusted as the need increases. Access can typically be provided to any computer with a browser and an Internet connection, but can be controlled through password protection and other measures. Proponents also argue that the cloud makes it easier to manage and push down software upgrades. Software as a service is usually provided on a fee for service approach that may result in cost savings compared to the traditional local area network. Think of it as somewhat like renting as opposed to owning

Cloud computing is not a technology of the future, but is here today. Google, for example, uses this approach to provide its suite of business applications intended to compete with Microsoft Office. Google applications are provided free or at very little cost. Technical issues are important, and there are certainly technical issues that a potential customer may want to consider, such as maintaining a back-up on site, or a back-up through a separate vendor. These approaches might provide some real practical protection in the event of a catastrophic failure or bankruptcy at the primary provider. Other technical issues might focus on what happens when the relationship ends, whether happily or not. Is there another vendor that can provide the software and host the data? Will data have to be converted to a different format? If the customer decides to switch back to a local area network, will the terminals that have been used for cloud computing (which, I am told, can be very basic "low powered" machines) be of any use, or will a completely new network need to be installed?

Although technical solutions are a good thing, over twenty-five years of litigation experience have taught me that disasters do happen, even with fail-safe plans in place, and even with parties acting in complete good faith. And, I suppose, it is natural for a lawyer to focus on legal rights and remedies rather than technical solutions.

From a legal standpoint, cloud computing appears to raise a host of essentially contractual issues to be addressed by the parties' contract or licensing arrangements. There are also potential regulatory issues (ranging from privacy to export control issues), potential e-discovery issues, and certainly other issues that have not yet crossed my mind.

As businesses and their lawyers become more experienced with cloud computing issues, it is likely that a consensus will emerge as to how cloud computing issues will be addressed. Hopefully, purveyors of cloud computing services will be flexible and reasonable in addressing legitimate business concerns. However, given the prevalence of "standard" licensing in the software field (often on a shrinkwrap or clickwrap basis) and efforts to limit liability under any circumstances, there is some cause for pessimism.

All that said, here is a list of issues that one might wish to consider asking a vendor or otherwise considering in entering into a possible cloud computing arrangement:

What contractual obligation will you assume to protect my data? This could include reference to particular steps and procedures, including back-up obligations. The contract or license may specify a standard of care that the provider must meet.
What contractual obligation will you assume regarding uptime, if any? Will you provide any type of uptime warranty? Even if such a warranty is subject to a limited remedy, it probably would provide considerable incentive for the provider to limit downtime.
Most providers seem savvy enough to disclaim any interest in your data and will freely say -- in a sales setting anyway -- that "your data is your data." Well, that's good, but how do I physically get my data back at the end of the contract or if you go bankrupt?
What remedy limitations, if any, are in your terms? Are consequential damages excluded? Are total damages capped (such as to a return of fees paid)? Even if contractual obligations are assumed, if remedies are severely limited, the provider may be shielded from liability.
Where is my data going to be stored? Are you willing to agree that all my data will be kept in this location under specified conditions and at agreed security levels? This could be important for regulatory reasons, but also for reasons associated with meeting general customer confidentiality obligations or complying with privacy policies.
Have you inserted a forum selection clause into the terms? Many providers want to insist on litigating on their home turf (which often, it seems, is California), but that is rarely a happy instance for a customer.
How do I get out of this arrangement if you do not perform and what is my exit strategy? What rights do I have upon termination? What obligations do you have to assist in transitioning to a new vendor or back to a self-managed platform?

If you are considering going to the cloud, you should consider involving your business and technology lawyer early in the process. As stated, there are probably many other legal issues that have not even occurred to me. It is clear, however, that lawyers need to begin considering these issues, because cloud computing is clearly not going away.

For example, if you click on "visits" you'll see a graph showing the visitor count for each day in the date range you selected. You select the desired date range from the date display in the upper right corner of the dashboard window. 2 - Visitors Overview

The Visitors Overview panel shows you a line graph for the date range you choose that plots the number of visitors over the time span in question. If you mouse over any part of the line graph you'll see a small information window that shows you the data value for that point on the graph - in this case that would be the date and the number of visitors that came to your site on that date.

3 - Map Overlay

The Map Overlay panel shows you where in the world your visitors are coming from. The countries are color-coded by visitor volume. Click on the "view report" link and you'll see a report (below the map graphic) that lists visits, pages per visit, the average time on site for the visits from a particular country, and the bounce rate (plus a few other metrics). You can also click on a specific country in the world map to go down to next level of detail. For example, I just recently discovered that the bulk of my US-based visitors to one of my informational sites come from a very small number of states. 4 - Traffic Sources Overview

The Traffic Sources Overview panel gives you a pie chart that displays how your traffic gets to you. There are three choices: direct traffic, referring sites, or search engines. Each of these three categories is fairly self-explanatory, but if the exact meaning of say, direct traffic is not clear to you, just click on the "About this Report" link in the Help Resources panel at the bottom left of the dashboard screen. The explanations found in the Help resources are very well written and should clear up any lingering doubt or confusion.

The Content Overview panel tells you how many views each page on your site received during the date range you've specified. If you think you know what pages on your site get the most traffic, a look here might surprise you. Imagine how powerful it is to know which specific pages on your site are getting the most scrutiny. Clicking on the "view report" link in this panel takes you down to the next level of detail where you can see how people navigate around your site and what keywords are leading users to your website.

Now if all that is not enough, you can also customize the dashboard page to include other reports that you may want to see on a daily basis. Windows 7 is supposedly better than that, and something XP people didn’t know about Vista is that you almost never got the blue screen of death for anything because Vista’s one strong point was that it could isolate one program going bad from everything else, so you wouldn’t lose all your other data with a system crash. All in all, you can fight it if you want to, but it’s probably better to pay for an upgrade as soon as possible, which is going to be much less than previous software upgrades. Maybe Microsoft is learning some lessons from Apple.

What's more, Google's emergence seemed to only really detract from Yahoo's client base-the other three search engines have actually remained steady in recent years.

Yahoo has gotten away from its roots-the search market. That's what they were originally known for, and it's what they really do best. Searching the internet was once Yahoo's entire reason for being, and it's this purpose that they need to refocus on, especially now that sites like Google are expanding (and possibly repeating the mistakes of Yahoo's past? Only time will tell on that one).

Yahoo also needs strong, new leadership to help give its employees a new sense of direction and purpose. This leader needs to be able to bring new ideas to the table while at the same time focusing the company. Yahoo is trying to be everywhere, and that strategy simply isn't working. They're running Yahoo Music, Yahoo 360, Yahoo Greetings, Yahoo Personals, Flickr, and much more. With the exception of Flickr, all of these sites have been done and have been done better. Yahoo 360, for example, is a social networking site, but it doesn't enjoy anywhere near the popularity of sites like MySpace of Facebook. Yahoo Personals, likewise, has nowhere near the users that use dating sites like eHarmony.

If Yahoo is truly to survive, these services may need to be dumped. They don't bring much to Yahoo's resource pool and are, in fact, financial drains on the company. While Google spread out, too, they've actually spent some time revitalizing their search engine capabilities. They're not spread thin, and they tend to dump anything that doesn't work out like they expect it to.

Google has also worked on integrating its many services, something Yahoo has not yet done or has done poorly. Yahoo is trying to be known for so many things that it's no longer really known for anything. They also need to stop spending money on Web 2.0 services. This puts them in direct competition with hundred of other companies, and it's simply not needed. Yahoo should have two rivals, MSN and Google. They're fighting a war on so many fronts that it's hard to count them all.

Overall, if Yahoo wants to survive in the coming years, they need strong leadership that isn't afraid to cut and run when services start to fail. They have many services that aren't bringing in nearly as much as they're costing the company, and these services need to go. Yahoo basically needs to embrace the idea of getting back to their roots. They're a search engine. If they remember that and refocus themselves on doing what they do best, they can stage a come-back. If they can't, the future of Yahoo may be grim.

They placed a 3 GHz core and fit it next to another 3 GHz core but that didn't process like a 6 GHz core at all. That's because the second core needs specific software to process at the same time. The computer get confused when it process data from the two cores. The first data should be processed first before the other. It's like a single cashier register queue. If the cashier tries to process two customers at once it will get confused. Same with the computer it will get confused and process nothing at all.

It turned out that the new processor doesn't need to process a single data using two cores simultaneously. There are less than 1% of all popular software applications that needs to more than 3 GHz speeds. For example, Adobe Photoshop can perform really fast on a 3 GHz per side dual core. Photoshop performs like it was using a 6 GHz single core. Even though that there are software and games that don't recognize the CPU's second core and kept plugging along at normal speed. Operating Systems (OS) such as Windows XP and Vista can slough off some of their own OS functions to one of it's CPU cores so that the other core can be dedicated to applications that are not "multi-threaded" like the Photoshop. Users who have tried dual core CPU have noticed a serious increase in speed when tried it. To make it short dual core CPU performs by allotting one of its core to be dedicated to only running the application and the other core will run all the background functions. So if you want to enjoy a faster and happier computing experience you should not buy another single core CPU again especially if you are fond of multi tasking when you are using your computer.

Aside from dual core, quad core processors are becoming more popular in the market today. A quad core is double a dual core that means that it can process four streams at once. This is really a very processing speed especially for very rare "multi-threaded" applications but for regular users, it would be hard to tell the performance difference between a dual core and a quad core processor. People who use "multi-threaded" application or future application that will take advantage of multiple cores in the future will surely enjoy using one of these babies. When you buy a quad core today you are securing yourself from any future developments that will take advantage of multiple core processors making your computer system from being obsolete.

By now you've probably heard: Google is on the warpath with the announcement of Chrome OS. Just a mere 12 hours after the information was posted on The Official Google Blog, everyone is buzzing about the new operating system, what it means for Microsoft and how the public will react.

Well, it seems they already are. Within 10 minutes of sitting down at my desk, when I was able to finally access my mail, sign on to Instant Messenger and open Chrome, I was bombarded with articles, tweets and IMs about Chrome OS. Maybe this is the reason why. According to the Google Blog, the Google team is "designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds." The difference is that the Chrome OS will run on the web, versus cluttering up your computer's performance. This concept of cloud computing isn't brand new- both Good OS and Microsoft have tooled around with a cloud-based OS

Good OS's Cloud was released last year and hasn't caught the attention of the general public, but Cloud 1.0 has been "optimized for netbooks" and is coming soon. (Unfortunately, any chance of widespread popularity was just usurped.) Microsoft's Azure is a services platform, which may be a terrific tool for developers, but for those of us who 'don't do code,' Azure has very little value (at the moment anyway.) What's interesting is this quote from Microsoft Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie, regarding the future of applications and computer use:

"All of us are going to be standing on their shoulders" as the technology industry transitions from offering and using traditional software run in enterprise IT networks to running more applications on the Internet via cloud-computing environments hosted by large vendors..." -- Elizabeth Montalbano, IDG News Service

However I think they anticipated Microsoft being the "large vendor." The cloud, aka The Internet, the virtual highway- is it still virtual? With the concept of widespread cloud computing, and an entirely web-based operating system, the interactive space seems to become palpable. With all of our information, our manageable life existing entirely online, it seems we're moving into virtual real estate. (I may be exploring the outer limbs here, but it's a big tree.) One of my biggest concerns, and one I think the general Internet community will also harbor, is that of safety. Google claims that the Chrome OS "should just work." No viruses, no malware... No identity theft? And although voicing different concerns, the recent announcements for all-in-one telephone application Google Voice also stirred questions of security. 1-- I know a ton of my information is already on the web, but everything? My comfort level is questionable, even though I know myself and my love for Google's simplicity. 2-- What is Google doing with all this data? Google Voice will have the ability to record your phone calls for data purposes-- don't you think they'll cache your spreadsheets, presentations, photos and SSN? Now, Google gets data when we use their web based apps and desktop products. With the Google Chrome OS, every action you take is on their system. Windows 7 is the new upcoming version of the Microsoft Windows operating systems. People are looking forward to having this version of Windows because Windows Vista didn't live up to its name, it was buggy and had some problems. Most reliable Microsoft Windows to this day is Windows XP. Windows 7 was codenamed Blackcomb and Vienna when it was in preparation.

Unlike Windows Vista that has a great layout and visual quality, Windows 7 will be more compatible, it will support all previous software that worked on past versions of Windows and it will be an a lot faster and better operating system.

Windows 7 will bring some major updates to some Windows features. For example advances in handwriting recognition, better performance with multi-core processors

kernel upgrades, support for virtual hard drives, better boot performance, etc. Many new features will be added to the control panel, so you will be able to customize your operating system even more then you could before. The taskbar will be changed to, the quick launch icon has been removed and replaced with pinning programs and applications to the taskbar. The new task bar is easier and more practical, but maybe you will need some time to get used to it. The new layout has some practical features and it can make some of your Windows transparent just by dragging your mouse over the icon, which can be really helpful in some situations.

Microsoft has published information on minimum system requirements needed to use Windows 7. Microsoft has released an application that works as an advisor, it scans your computer to see if it is compatible for Windows 7.

For 32 bit system minimum system requirements for Windows 7 are following: 1 GB of RAM, Processor should be minimum 1 GHz, graphic card should support direct x 9 and it should have at least 128 MB of graphics memory, it requires 16 GB of hard disk space. For 64 bit things are different: At least 2 GB of RAM, processor 1 GHz, Graphic card that supports direct x 9 with 128 MB of graphics memory and at least 20 GB of free hard disk space is required for installation.

Some features that Windows Vista had are removed in order to maximize the performance. Your computer should work really fine when using Windows 7 because the main goal when making Windows 7 was to fix the previous problems and make it stable and reliable. Layout for Windows 7 looks great and it looks like they have really paid attention to making it functional and user friendly rather than putting make up on something that doesn't work but looks nice. Your computer will certainly work great when using Windows 7 if it has the minimum system requirements, but it is always better to have computer that does not only mach minimum operating requirements but is even better configured. Windows 7 will run smoothly even on computers that are outdated, it is only needed to have requirements earlier mentioned in the text. any time soon? Well im sure one day there will be, but seeing as the Nokia N97 has not even been released, i can't this Nokia N98 being released for a while yet. This has not stopped the rumors on the internet from starting and Nokia N98 pictures appearing.

So what is the Nokia N98 likey to feature? Well here is a summary of something i found on the web. The new Nokia N98 will weigh about 120 grams and will be 60 x 110 x 15mm dimensions. The TFT touchscreen has 16k colours,

which is empowered with 640 x 480 pixels resolution. Its full rechargeable battery gives the 3 to 5 hours of talk time with 290 hours of standby period. The connectivity features come in 3G HSDPA, flying mode, Bluetooth version, Email, EDGE, USB and GPRS. The Internet feature is enabled with WAP2.0, xHTML browser and UMTS. The quad-band band technology phone supports 2G network
, which has 900, 1800, 1900 GSM frequencies. It is compatible with vibration alert, handfree, push to talk and wireless version.

The Nokia N98 has 8GB/16 GB phone memory - (im pretty sure this is less than the N97, so not sure about that), which can be expanded with the memory card option up to 24 GB. The multimedia features include polyphonic melodies, MMS, instant messaging, Screen saver, Java support, MP3 player, radio, video player, file support and TV out. Its organiser feature include user profile, calculator, calendar, sync, OS, themes and Java games
. Nokia N98's camera is integrated with 7.2 mega pixels camera with digital zoom and flash feature. Some more camera features are second camera, optical zoom and recorded video format, which support MPEG, AVI and 3GP.

If any of the above is true or not, i don't know, but i very much doubt it. Oh well its all a bit of fun anyway and in the meantime we can all have fun getting ready for the new Nokia N97 mobile phone. This is definately real and Nokia N97 On Contract should be out sometime in late March, although Nokia were saying June.
